1. PROJECT BACKGROUND AND DESCRIPTION
 Practical Value: A very important step in intrapersonal communication is understanding
your personal values and strengths. This activity allows you the necessary time to
contemplate and clarify what activities, and types of people you are naturally interested in
and how to adapt to people and situations that are more challenging. This activity
provides you with an opportunity to consider your goals in the context of your personality
and how you will work to overcome challenges as you encounter them personally,
academically, and professionally.
 Practical Skills: You will improve your reading, comprehension, critical thinking,
analytical, writing, time management, compliance, decision making, intrapersonal
communication, and reflective skills.
2. PROJECT SCOPE
 Purpose: Please use the activity is to consider why you prefer certain individuals,
situations and occupations and think about why you are challenged in other relationships
or situations. This is not a diagnostic tool. You should rely on your understanding of
yourself and your personal, cultural and professional values to contemplate the ideas
presented in this activity.
Students can earn a maximum of 50 extra credit points on a single activity. If you miss the
extra credit activity there is NO implied privilege for additional opportunities. This
semester please complete Carl Jung’s and Isabel Briggs Myers’ typology. This activity
provides you with extra credit, but beyond extra credit it allows you to understand your
personality.
You may also choose to share this information with your peers.

3. REQUIREMENTS
 Cover Page: Be creative.
 Format: Typed and double-spaced. Handwritten journals will not be accepted.
 Margins: One inch margins.
 Font: Times New Roman.
 Font Size: 12 pt.
 Length: Minimum 1 pages. Maximum 3 pages.
 Submission: Please submit your journal on eCampus by 7AM on the due date.
4. DELIVERABLES
 After you have completed the questions you will get 4-letter follow the steps below:
o 1st: Obtain your 4-letter type (INFP, ENTJ, ENFJ etc.) Include on your cover
page along with your name.
o 2nd: Write 1-2 full pages and include 3 strengths and 3 weaknesses of your
personality type (full sentences).
o 3rd: Discuss 3 careers that are interesting to you (full sentences).
o 4th: Discuss (full sentences) how your personality type may help or present
personal and professional challenges. How can you overcome these challenges?
o 5th: Upload your findings as a MS Word document or PDF file. Please submit
on or before the due date:

 Outstanding — 90-100:
Awarded to the student who has applied several concepts from the text and lecture and has incorporated
relevant personal experiences. It is apparent that this student clearly understands the material and the
instructions for the assignment. This person has few spelling & grammatical errors. The journal
consistently conforms to font size and style requirements including margins and page length.
 Good — 80-89:
Awarded to the student who has applied some concepts from the text and lecture and has incorporated
personal experiences. It is apparent that this student understands the material and the instructions for
the assignment. This person has some spelling & grammatical errors. The journal conforms to font size
and style requirements including margins and page length.
 Fair — 70-79:
Awarded to the student who has mentioned at least one concept from the text and has incorporated a
personal experience. This person did not demonstrate a clear understanding of the assignment. There
are numerous spelling & grammatical errors. The journal conforms to font size and style requirements
including margins and page length.
 Poor — 60-69:
Awarded to the student who fails to apply concepts from the text or lecture. This person did not
demonstrate a clear understanding of the assignment. There are numerous spelling & grammatical
errors. The journal does not consistently conform to font size and style requirements including
margins and page length.
 Insufficient — 0-59:
Awarded to the student who fails to apply concepts from the text or lecture. This student has late
work, incomplete work, or fails to submit work. Submitted materials are not related to the
assignment. – The journal does not conform to font size and style requirements including margins
and page length. (i.e. – Turned in ½ page or less instead of 1-2 pages.)
