Discussions
Class participation through Discussion Board posting is an important, graded component of the
course. The instructor will post a topic in the Discussion Board for each module; you are required
to post an initial reply to the posted question by Thursday 11:59 PM EST/EDT and reply to at least
two classmates by Sunday 11:59 PM EST/EDT. Everyone is expected to build the discussion by
posting thoughtful and substantial initial replies and interactive responses to your classmates’
posts. Interaction should include constructive criticism (positive and negative) offered in a
supportive, collegial spirit. In an active learning experience such as discussion, constructive
criticism can be a very powerful learning tool if offered in this manner.
Project: Research Paper and Presentation Slides
Students will submit a detailed research paper and PowerPoint slides on an approved topic by the
instructor. See additional instructions in the “Assignments” tab.
Company Analysis Audio Presentation
Each student will prepare a voice audio presentation on a company that is approved by the
instructor. Students will obtain relevant information either in person or via Internet of a CEO or
Director’s perspective on the organization’s business practices. See additional instructions in the
“Assignments” tab.
