you have learned in a real-world educational setting.

your internship provided your mentor has also approved this proposal. This can be accomplished now
and then saved to upload into your internship course later, or you may wait until you are enrolled in the
internship course. Some activities are time sensitive such as visiting a school board meeting or working
on annual budgets.
While the 10-week course, EL5983 Internship Experience for Educational Leadership, will provide the

when explaining the benefits to students and their performance.
How will designing and implementing this activity make you a more effective leader? Be specific
when describing the leadership traits, you hope to develop or expand.
Activity Objectives
This is your opportunity to explain what you want to do during the internship activity. Describe what you
want to learn and achieve. You may write this in paragraph form or use bullet points to highlight the

(Bloom’s Taxonomy resources are located on the Learning Objects page). The objectives should be
designated as to how they align to one or more program outcomes.

improvement, revision, or other opportunity requiring you to demonstrate your leadership skills.
Applying theory and understanding of the tenets within the course is an aspect of application. Not all
theories apply to all situations. An aspect of your proposal should demonstrate your ability to critically
judge a circumstance and then determine an appropriate course of action.

•
•
How do you envision your leadership role in the internship activity?
What will be your leadership responsibilities?

activity).
How will you keep a record of the outcomes of the various steps and the culminating results?
Describe your record-keeping process.

Your faculty member will use a rubric to formally evaluate your proposal on its merits in demonstrating
how you have applied what you have learned in this course.
