Class, Good description of alliances. A large part of a successful alliance is choosing the right partner. Brown and Hogg (2012) explained that potential partners should be evaluated against measurable criteria. Tis means studying the actors that are most important to an organization. This includes a review of mission, vision, and values. In order to accomplish a successful selection, this means developing a formal evaluation process. Another very good idea is to develop a pilot project in order to actually determine whether the partners can be a successful good fit (Brown & Hogg, 2012).
