References
[Provide references for the three peer-reviewed scholarly research articles you found
during this assignment. Before developing your references you may find it helpful to review the
following information.
Journal articles are one of the most common types of sources you will reference. The
definitive guide for constructing a reference list is the APA manual beginning on page 180 with
journal article referencing discussed on page 186. In addition, you can find other examples and
explanations by googling the question: “How do I reference a journal article in APA format?”
Note that the journal name and volume number should be in italics; however, italicization ends at
that point. The issue number is presented in parenthesis immediately following the volume
number and there is no space between. The volume number is the number of years the journal
has been published and the issue number refers to a specific publication during the year, usually
a journal publishes monthly. A typical example follows. You may wish to model your
references after this example
Chung, A. S. (2012). Choice of for-profit college. Economics of Education Review, 31(6), 10841101. doi:10.1016/j.econedurev.2012.07.004
Notice that only the first word of the title and the first word of a secondary title following
the colon (if there is one) are capitalized in a reference list entry unless they are proper nouns
that name something such as America, London, Samuel and so on. See page 185 of the APA
Manual.
References should be presented using hanging indents as noted on page 37 of the APA
manual. You can create a hanging indent by using your mouse to highlight your reference or list
of references and then pressing Control+t (hold down the Control key and then press t). The
following link will lead you to a list of references formatted using hanging indents.]
