I don’t necessarily pay attention to the price differences and effects of inflation, but one of the main
items I have noticed that seem to constantly increase to a price that makes me pull back from buying it
as much is fresh fruit. While healthier food options typically can be more expensive, I have recently
noticed the increase in price of fresh produce. I do understand however that fresh berries are seasonal,
so that is a cause for the increase in price during the winter, but the prices still have hung at a higher
mark recently than they had previously. I think I will begin to notice the effects inflation has on my
regular day life whenever I am out of college and officially on my own. Although inflation typically seems
to hurt rather than to help, it has been seen to sometimes have the advantage of allowing for growth
during times of recession in the economy.
