Professional Blueprint

Overview: Submit a complete, polished community psychology (CP) professional blueprint that incorporates revised content from the project milestones along with additional content on Systems Thinking, your role in the system, and a topic of your choice. The blueprint should address all of the topics and questions outlined below, and it must be a structured paper that includes a number of specific elements that link your expanding knowledge of CP with your professional goals and interests.

Note: You should use the resources that you collect in your annotated bibliography to inform your project, and any additional resources relevant to the blueprint. Specifically, the following critical elements must be addressed:

1. Systems View

Write a two-page response to the following questions:

a. As a systems thinker, how do various agencies and their goals interact in the community? Pick two agencies and demonstrate how their goals, missions, and outcomes support the community.

b. Does your community have any interagency associations that coordinate planning and social change efforts? For example, does the community have a human service association such as United Way? (These efforts may deal with prevention, crisis response, building community resilience, and so on.)

2. Your Role in the System

Write a two-page response to the following questions:

Concept of research in profession practice

Instructions
This week, you have explored the concept of applying research in professional practice. Now you will begin to think about how you’d like to apply the research you pulled together for your Week 5 literature review to make evidence-based best practice recommendations for resolving workplace issues related to your capstone topic. Specifically, this week you will begin to plan for your Week 8 Signature Assignment presentation by developing and submitting an outline. Note that your final presentation will be created and delivered in Week 8. Keep in mind that your Week 8 presentation will be delivered in the form of a webinar for an imaginary audience of organizational stakeholders.

For this week, please review your weekly resources for tips on how to create an outline. The headings and sub-headings reflected in your outline should be used to organize the content for your presentation slides. Also, be sure to check out the instructions for creating your signature project presentation in Week 8 and use those instructions to guide the development of your outline. At a minimum, your presentation outline should provide points to address the following:

· Identify the topic of the webinar. Why is this topic important?

· Identify the need for the webinar. What is the objective of the webinar?

· Specify the target audience for the webinar. Who will benefit from this presentation (e.g., consultants, business leaders, HR professionals, employees, etc.)? Provide a rationale for your choice.

· Identify 4-6 evidence-based, best practice approaches for addressing/resolving the topic/issue.

· Address ethical, cultural, and diversity needs and issues related to the topic/issue/solutions.

· Address collaborative efforts needed and their purpose (people: consultants, business leaders, HR professionals, etc.).

· Identify two resources/activities you will include in your webinar (e.g., reflection questions, role plays, discussion groups). Be specific.

Length: 1 to 2-page outline

References: Include a minimum of 2 scholarly resources.

The completed assignment should address all of the assignment requirements, exhibit evidence of concept knowledge, and demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the content presented in the course. The writing should integrate scholarly resources, reflect academic expectations and current APA standards, and adhere to Northcentral University’s Academic Integrity Policy.

When applicable, conduct a Turnitin pre-check and then upload your completed assignment and click the Submit to Dropbox button.

Characteristics or features of theory

This week, you will finalize and submit your chart of psychology theories that you began working on in Week 3 and continued throughout the course.

As you review and finalize your chart, be sure that for each theory you identify you also address the following:

  1. Identify who or what contributed to the development of the theory. Were there key researchers or seminal research that led to the theory?
  2. Record whether the theory emphasizes nature (biology), nurture (environment), or both.
  3. List the primary characteristics or features of the theory (its key tenets and concepts). Be sure to include if a period of life is emphasized.
  4. List the noteworthy strengths and weaknesses of the theory.
  5.  (Optional) Include any notes that you find helpful in understanding and applying the theory, such as potential contemporary themes or fields of research in which the theory could be applied.

questions from week 3 to be included in this assignment

Begin populating the Psychology Theories Template related to this week’s theories—psychodynamic theories. As you begin populating your template, consider the following:

  1. Identify who or what contributed to the development of the theory. Were there key researchers or seminal research that led to the theory?
  2. Record whether the theory emphasizes nature (biology), nurture (environment), or both.
  3. List the primary characteristics or features of the theory (its key tenets and concepts). Be sure to include if a particular period of life is emphasized.
  4. List the noteworthy strengths and weaknesses of the theory.
  5. (Optional) Include any notes that you find helpful in understanding and applying the theory, such as potential contemporary themes or fields of research in which the theory could be applied.

Having learned that husbands are the authority figure in the traditional Indian household, she went to speak with Mr. Nidhi. She explained why an epidural would be advisable. She said that he seemed pleased that she came to him about it. He said he would think about it, and let her know.

Reflection doctoral-level writing

For this task, imagine that you are assigned to a case of a known pedophile. He/she has been arrested after sexually perpetrating a 6-year-old boy. Develop 15 questions and answers that you would ask the perpetrator that would assist you (and the investigators) in potentially identifying other victims. Your suspect is willing to speak to you, so your responses should be comprehensive. it should include the questions, answers, and a summary (in APA format) that discuss what you learned from speaking to the suspect—at least one theory that applies to your findings. Also, include in your summary your personal feelings about speaking with a pedophile and how you ethically and professionally handled the difficult subject matter.
